Concrete patios in Crosswinds, Kyle. More patio, less mud by the back door.

Crosswinds is a master-planned Kyle community built around the Windy Point Amenity Center, with its pool, splash park and sports court. Families here use their backyards hard, and the builder patio is usually the first thing they outgrow.

We build new patios, rebuild cracked ones, and add finishes and walkways that make the backyard feel finished.

Slope away from the house

Every patio we pour in Crosswinds, Kyle falls away from the house, so rain leaves the back door and heads for the yard.

What we see in Crosswinds backyards

Small builder slabs, worn grass where the patio ends, and kids' play areas that turn to mud after rain. A larger patio with the right slope fixes most of that in one project.

Crosswinds soil and water

Kyle sits on the line where Blackland Prairie clay meets the limestone edge of the Hill Country. Much of the town is on dark expansive clay that swells after rain and shrinks and cracks in a dry summer. Some lots hit caliche or rock close to the surface. We check which one your yard is on before we quote.

On flat lots, a patio that is not pitched correctly holds water against the house. Every patio we pour falls away from the foundation.

Common Crosswinds projects

  • Patio extensions. Making room for a table, grill and play space.
  • Tear-out and rebuild. Replacing cracked or sloped builder pads.
  • Broom or stamped finish. Practical or decorative, on the same strong slab.
  • Side-yard walkways. A clean path from the gate to the patio.

HOA approval. Like most master-planned communities, Crosswinds has guidelines for backyard changes. We provide a drawn layout and finish details if your project needs approval.

Water sits by our back door after rain. Will a new patio fix it?

A patio pitched away from the house stops it from holding water at the door. If the whole yard drains toward the house, we look at the grade and drainage as part of the project.
