Plum Creek · Kyle, Texas · Concrete patios

Concrete patios in Plum Creek, Kyle. For the backyards that have been here longest.

Plum Creek is Kyle's original master-planned community, a 2,200-acre neighborhood that started in 1997. That makes many of its patios among the oldest in town, and it shows: cracked builder pads, corners that have dropped, and slabs that now tip back toward the door.

We build new patios, rebuild failing ones, and add stamped and stained finishes for Plum Creek homeowners who want a backyard that matches how they live now.

Slope away from the house

Every patio we pour in Plum Creek, Kyle falls away from the house, so rain leaves the back door and heads for the yard.

Plum Creek, Kyle

What we see in Plum Creek backyards

Homes here range from the first phases of the late 1990s to newer sections built since. The older the home, the more likely the patio has had two decades of clay movement under it. Mature trees are a plus for shade, and they also mean roots and leaf litter near the slab, which we plan around.

Many owners want to go bigger. A patio that once fit a grill and two chairs gets doubled to hold a dining table, a seating area and a path to the side gate.

Plum Creek soil and water

Kyle sits on the line where Blackland Prairie clay meets the limestone edge of the Hill Country. Much of the town is on dark expansive clay that swells after rain and shrinks and cracks in a dry summer. Some lots hit caliche or rock close to the surface. We check which one your yard is on before we quote.

After twenty-plus years, lawns, beds and fences have changed how water moves in many yards. We look at where rain actually goes now, not where the original grading plan sent it.

Common Plum Creek projects

  • Patio tear-out and rebuild. The most common fix for original patios that have cracked or sunk.
  • Patio extension. Adding size beside the original slab, joined properly so the two do not fight.
  • Stamped and stained finishes. A stone look for owners updating an older backyard.
  • Walkways to the side gate. Replacing worn paths along the side yard.

HOA approval. Plum Creek has community guidelines for exterior changes. If your project changes the footprint or finish, check with the HOA. We provide a drawn layout and finish details you can submit for review.

My Plum Creek patio is cracked and sunk at one corner. Can it be leveled?

Sometimes a single section can be replaced. On original patios with cracks across the slab and a slope toward the house, a rebuild on a new base is usually the fix that lasts. We will tell you which one fits at the assessment.

Can you work around mature trees?

Yes. We plan the footprint and base around large roots and talk through options if a tree is too close to the slab.
